Our Story: Rooted in the Wild
Safari Vista was born from the personal journey of Amith Bangre, a wildlife conservationist whose life has been shaped by the forests of India. Raised in the verdant embrace of Chikkamagaluru’s Western Ghats, Amith began walking the wild at sixteen — conducting research on foot, sleeping under the stars, and learning the language of the jungle not from books, but from the land itself.
Over two decades, he evolved from a field researcher into one of India’s most respected naturalists, pioneering walking safaris, leading conservation initiatives, and transforming luxury lodges into sanctuaries of knowledge and experience.
Alongside him is his wife, Honey Dhawan, a spirited advocate and co-creator of Safari Vista. A lawyer by profession and a naturalist by heart, Honey brings balance, grace, and feminine intuition to the wild. Together, their journeys — from Central India’s tiger trails to the forgotten edges of the Terai — have culminated in a shared vision: to offer a safari experience that is deeply personal, intellectually enriching, and utterly unforgettable.
